I hope everyone had a great fourth of July holiday!
I had Suzanne here, so the youngster could swim for a bit showing off her water skills. That was fun. Then I was able to feed them, since I like to cook and don't get that much chance to do it for others.
Later I went to a neighborhood BBQ, played cards. Everyone put in $1 and, yours truly, walked off with the pot. So I got payed to eat a burger. Sweet deal.
By then the weather was cooling and it was nice to be out. Fireworks finished off the celebration.
There is something comforting about a traditional family celebration, with cats, dogs, kids, grandparents, food, drink, and just walking home when it's over. Nice!
